CULines Delivers First Batch of Energy Storage Converters to Jeddah

2026-04-10

Recently, CULines achieved a new milestone in its logistics services for the renewable energy sector. The first batch of 10 energy storage converters was successfully delivered on April 3rd at the Port of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

  • Customized Solutions for overweight cargo Transport

Unlike standard containerized goods, each ESC unit weighs as much as 34 tons. These are categorized as overweight  cargo, requiring stringent standards for stowage, lashing, allocation of stowage positions, and loading/unloading operations. Every step taken directly impacts safety and cargo quality. The CULines project cargo team carefully planned and customized a dedicated transport solution, adhering to high operational standards. The team executed a full-process closed-loop supervision to ensure the cargo reached its destination in perfect condition.

  • Loaded Below Deck to Shield Against Weather Exposure
  • Strict Control of Stacking Tiers to Comply with Safety Limits
  • Reinforced Lashing Tailored for Ocean Transport
  • Meticulous Supervision During Loading for Precise Stowage

The cargo departed from Shanghai via CULines’ Red Sea service, transporting to Jeddah without transshipment. The voyage was completed within 20 days, markedly improving transport efficiency, minimizing cargo handling risks, and precisely fulfilling the logistics requirements for renewable energy projects across the Middle East.

The transport mission was undertaken by the M/V CUL LAEMCHABANG, a core self-owned vessel. Equipped with high-performance lifting and securing facilities and supported by extensive expertise in handling heavy-lift and OW cargo, the vessel provided reliable support for the safe and punctual delivery of the smart energy storage units.

Against the backdrop of global energy transition, CULines provides professional, reliable and flexible solutions to boost supply chain efficiency, advance green energy logistics, and foster sustainable partnerships for a shared low-carbon future.
