CUL Turkey Company Officially Opens

2026-06-03

On June 1, 2026, CUL Turkey company(Culines Denizcilik Limited Şirketi) officially opened, marking a solid and pivotal step in the company’s overseas strategy to expand into the Mediterranean and North African markets.

Turkey features prominent strategic geographical positioning. CUL Turkey is designated as the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Headquarters, tasked with the operation of intercontinental trunk services north of the Suez Canal and management of regional feeder services. It serves as a pivotal hub enabling CULines to deepen its footprint in the converging markets of Europe, Asia and Africa.

This opening represents another major milestone in CULines’ overseas expansion. Following the successive establishment of its CUL India, CUL West Asia (Dubai), and CUL Japan operations over the past year, it completes the layout of the company’s Europe–Asia–Africa regional service network.

CULines has preliminarily built a trunk-and-feeder shipping network in Turkey, with three core fixed liner services in regular operation – AEM, MES and NAF – facilitating intra-regional connectivity across the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa and the Black Sea.

Leveraging CULines’ broader trunk and feeder network, the Turkey hub efficiently interconnects shipping services across four major regions—the Red Sea, West Asia (Middle East), Southeast Asia, and Northeast Asia—linking Turkey with Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, Djibouti, the UAE, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Mainland China, Taiwan China, Japan, South Korea, and other destinations. This provides reliable maritime shipping support for regional cross-border trade and logistics supply chains.

Since the soft launch of CUL Turkey in July 2025, the company has steadily advanced its localized operational framework and transitioned to full independent operations. Following the official opening, CUL Turkey will leverage its trilingual service capability in Chinese, English, and Turkish to enable seamless, real-time customer engagement and one-stop port services, effectively addressing industry pain points such as cross-border communication barriers and low operational efficiency. Moving forward, the company will progressively roll out a Turkish-language local website and deploy the Sherry Lee intelligent customer service platform, driving a dual-engine service upgrade powered by digitalization and localization.
